same reason as those by other companies selling expensive things.I like Warwick basses. They're good instruments. I do not understand why they're as expensive as they are, though.
Please someone here tell me which of their favorite songs was played on an $8,000 bass.
Anyone?

Another bass made with pretty wood.....gets very boring after a while.
You prefer bass dip in solid plastic color derived from 50' car colors ?
Homophobe!!I own one bass (Roscoe) and have another on order (Skjold) that are each less than half the price of that thing, and are at least 2x the quality/sound/playability.
That phallic upper horn instantly depletes any curiosity I have about a W bass.
No. It really doesn't. What's REALLY boring is rehashing the same old Fenders, over and over and over and over...........Another bass made with pretty wood.....gets very boring after a while.
For coverage in the US, the specialist's name is John Barron or John Miller; can't remember which exactly.I understand it comes with Ego Protection insurance coverage. If anybody ever makes fun of you for buying such an expensive bass, a specially designated image specialist at Warwick (who goes by the name of Atlas Fang) will personally contact whoever is giving you a hard time and 'explain' why it (a) was a brilliant move on your part to buy that bass; and (b) 'demonstrate' some of the disadvantages of being rude to you.
