Indeed. Their chat was fairly glitchy to begin with, and then they do this. I fail to understand their thinking behind this :spit: A migration to Google might be on the cards, at least as far as chat is concerned.

It's just like I failed to understand many of the changed that MySpace had made in the last half year before I cmpletely pitched it. Signed back on to make a band account (cause when it comes to music storage, MySpace still has the best choices as far as file size) and MySpace is just dumb now. And I'm sure Facebook is going to do the exact same thing. Why companies make the choices they make is beyond me, obviously no research is spent on what any person would actually like imo

I just got in!
I like the layout very much and I think it has some incredibly strong features. Very sleek, very cool. I like Google and Google products, so I feel better about spending obscene amounts of time on a Google service rather than Facebook. As for now, I'll just have to do both.

My circles are pretty thin right now, and I'll make a Talkbass circle if any of you wish to add me to yours.

I don't care for Gmail, either. Personally, I think Yahoo (until this most recent change) has had the easiest and sleekest interface. Gmail always seemed like it was stuck in beta. Heck, it still looks like it's in Beta.

The one thing I don't understand about Google is why everything of theirs has to be connected with one another. As soon as I signed up from my Yahoo account (not a Google product) G+ connected with my Gmail account and my Youtube account somehow. Really weird. I also didn't want that to happen for a few reasons.

G+ comes as a Google account, which is based around gmail. And Google just likes having your names connected.

That's the thing - it connected with my wrong gmail account originally, and when I tried to connect it to my real account instead of my spam one it wouldn't let me. It also connected my spam gmail account to my Youtube account and now I'm unable to connect my old Youtube account to my proper gmail account. It's messed up :atoz:

That's why it's still in beta. Hit up the feedback link and tell 'em how you really feel...;)

I'm still not clear on privacy and visibility.

I've been on G+ for a total of two days (three if you count today), it's not entirely clear to me how and where you set your privacy. I know there's a privacy filter, but it doesn't do what I want for it to do (filter out what random people are able to see, even if they are in a friend of a friend of a friend's circle, you can still see all their info). I don't want to be entirely visible to some people. I don't mind "friending" someone, but I like to have some of my info unavailable.

Maybe it's already there and I just haven't found it yet.
