google+

Blogger is owned by Google, and I'm pretty sure Flickr is too ;)

Yup yup they are both google products,....I use Blogger for my company and I'm also finding that Flickr is a little easier to deal with than photobucket for Blogger. When I started with G+ yesterday it automatically uploaded images that I had on my Blogger profile and my actual blog.

There may be some cross pollination between G+ and that as well (ie upload images on G+ and share on Blogger,...there is a way of doing that through Flickr as well) I just haven't discovered it yet.

Seeing as my blog is going to be more of static website with a storefront there my not be a lot of functionality for me with that sort of connectivity. In those cases I need more control over the appearance of the blog so I'll probably just stick with HTML code to do that. Flickr is handy in getting the sizes right whereas Photobucket,....not so much.

Okay I think I'm rambling a little bit. So far I'm liking G+ but I don't think they are gonna give FB a run for it's money till it get's the kinks worked out.

I also keep hearing about the customization G+, but I have yet to discover how or what they mean beyond the customization of your circle of friends. Maybe with BG images that will be cool but to be honest,....one of the things I hated most about MySpace is when people filled it with that blingy flash based crap that took forever to load and was impossible to read.

so...i'm digging G+. Need to find more people though, to see how it'll look once it's more filled, but i can definately see myself not using facebook anymore once it's up and running. the android app is great, wonderful photo/text sharing, integrated in nicely. I made a circle for Talkbass, feel free to hit me up:

Google's gonna need to come up with something a bit better than that, though..

My GF said all her picasa albums were available the second she signed in to G+.

Yep, and you can set permissions on sharing on a per-album basis.

I have a TB circle set up and will be happy to include anyone who wants a little more input into their stream while this gets going. Click here.

same here haha. i want to transition from facebook to g+ but it seems most of my friends aren't on it yet, and i don't know a lot of emails to invite people. i'm sure it'll happen with time.

i wonder how google+ will handle bands? cause that's the one way that facebook utterly fails, in my opinion. or will they just stay out of it? hope not.

Like their new chat system which has finally made chat completely unusable? Haha, yeah Facebook has been slowly bleeding out ever since they got rid of their .edu requirement. If anything, any change they make will finally make them completely obsolete.

Yea, I agree. I remember when fb was all kids, and you could put who was in your classes, and it was just a lot more focused and fun to be on. It's so watered down now, they're becoming a lot like MySpace. It's clear that fb is more than likely going to fall away as g+ builds up, and I'm glad. I can't wait to say goodbye.
