No doubt fairly nice records - but I have never seen them mentioned as true classics of Jazz and I can't see anybody putting them in the best ever Jazz albums - and if you want to be recommending albums to listen to for studying Jazz bass - it would include things with Paul Chambers,Ray Brown,Sam Jones,Scott Le Faro,Jimmy Blanton,Milt Hinton,Ron Carter,Charlie Mingus,Richard Davis,Jimmy Garrison,Red Mitchell - I could easily go on to about a hundred players who are essential listening for Jazz Bass...?
Without getting to those albums...
