Got Chorus?

My Danelector Cool Cat Chorus (the older big 18V chorus in the seafoam green housing, not the new small plastic housed one) is one of my favourite pedals for bass. Yes it's a little weak on the lower notes on the E string, but it has good sonic mojo for bass.

There was a time that I used it as an integral part of my sound (I have the appropriate adapter), it just makes my bass sound LUSH and helped fill out the frequency spectrum, especially when used in stereo.

would the duff mckagan's (Guns 'n' Roses songs) chorus sound be more like digital-icy or analog-watery warbly??

boss ceb-3 is more like digital-icy right?

Obviously its all subjective ridiculousness. I just like making broad generalizations :)

I would consider Duff's tone more icy than watery, but I'm not sure if its digital or not. I had a CEB-3 and it was definitely icy. Very cold sounding (not necessarily a bad thing, some people like that)

BOSS Bass Chorus is supposed to handle such frequencies, why don't you try it?

My understanding is that this pedal gives you the option to leave the low end unaffected by the chorus; my experience w/this pedal is that at full settings it's on the more subtle end of the spectrum. That being said, I liked it & will likely grab another one eventually, but I'm not sure that's what the OP is after. My 12 cents.

3. Did you search on chorus? (No, you didn't.)

4. Which specific chorus pedals did you try that were too subtle on the lows?

actually i did type in the word chorus, as well as chorus Pedal, however there wee over 300 responses none of which actually had Chorus in the title, i sifted through a few but again they were all i like this one or i like that one with no real explanation or specific reason as to why....so i decided to try fresh...

So Far the Boss CH-1, The EH Small Clone, and the MXR M-134 as these are what my local Mon and Pop have in stock....

If you want a heavier chorus (and I am assuming you do since you mentioned you thought a lot of chorus pedals were subtle), try the Analogman Clone Chorus...it gets a lot of love in TB. I had one, and although it sounded good, it was a bit heavy for me. I actually prefer a subtle chorus.
