Not technically goth, but a Japanese sub genre of goth. Any way I digress, the bass tone on this track is sick. It's like he stuffed a snarling mountain lion in his amp.

Big VK vibes on this one, but I think there's plenty of goth influence for sure.

It almost feels like a cliché, but people in Japan really know how make some amazing sounding instruments. Sick bass tone.

It's not clear to me if it's Robert Smith or Simon Gallup on the Bass VI, but if you're looking for a goth mood, you'll find it here in this 28-minute Cure instrumental B-side (?) that was originally intended/used as a soundtrack to a film made by Simon's brother Ric Gallup. IMO, more black light goth than black leather goth, but either way clear your calendar and strap in for a gloomy ride with one of the best tracks ever have a Bass VI as *the* featured instrument.

The level of talent happening in Japan today is truly remarkable. The world is starting to take notice. If you haven't heard of them yet check out the band Asterism. You will be amazed by these kids.
