"Gothic Reggae"

[Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

Gothic Reggae. This guy posts on CL several times a day, every day, and has been at it for months. He's like the Dr. Zizmor of the musicians wanted section of the NYC craigslist - relentless and a little strange. Sucked in by the description of self-assured artistic intrigue I finally went and clicked on the link, and.... yeah. Well, he is looking for "bassssss"... should I go for it? (EDIT: I'm joking.)

I kinda like the Gothic Reggae concept and, as far as I'm concerned, I would go for it. The bass playing on the track you posted displays as much groove as a bag of crisps so there's obviously room for improvement here. Reggae is one of the most bass oriented styles after all.

I was being facetious... this is truly awful (the train of consciousness "improvised" vocals) and has the value of a trainwreck similar to a movie like Tommy Wiseau's The Room. Which, of course, means it will be all the rage as "outsider art" in NYC insider hipster circles... huh, maybe I should go for it, after all!

I hear a TON of room for a bass to move freely underneath that. If he's not too controlling on your parts, it could be great fun!
