I say go for it...might be worth a giggle or two.
Bass Master G- I like your avatar, he was my roommate in college. Sang backups on our vinyl... a true original character, and very talented.
I have no snark (at least the guy is trying for something original). But I'm pretty sure this guy posts ads on the LA CL too. Weird.
I guess it's cool to goof, I've done it, but hey the dude is creating his art. Whether it is good or not is subjective, but it's not like
he was asking for you to post his clip on here for a rank fest. It's not *quite* the same thing as YouTube fodder ripe for slamming.
ymmv of course.
Yeah man, I didn't really know thee history / frequency of these postings, and apologies if I came off confrontational. It wasn't really my intent moreso just getting soft in my old age, and not so hyper critical of stuff...I just applaud anyone willing to put themselves out there, creatively, despite how looney it may be perceived. It isn't *always* like the deluded souls trying out for American Idol, lol...but there sure are a ton of those too.
Again, sorry if I came off like a dick.

I don't care for Reggae, not that there's anything wrong with that.
Just so we all know what we're dealing with, may I present Gothic-Reggae all star Jackson Fandango:

Ding ding ding. This is what made me listen to ALL of the Jackson Fandango stuff. Hint: it's 100x more absurd than the Gothic Reggae, if you can imagine that...
There truly is something to be said for the almost pathological self-confidence that this fella has. Totally does remind me of Buffalo Bill for Silence of the Lambs. That post was right on point.

Gothic Reggae. This guy posts on CL several times a day, every day, and has been at it for months. He's like the Dr. Zizmor of the musicians wanted section of the NYC craigslist - relentless and a little strange. Sucked in by the description of self-assured artistic intrigue I finally went and clicked on the link, and.... yeah. Well, he is looking for "bassssss"... should I go for it? (EDIT: I'm joking.)

He's actually been at it for close to a decade believe it or not, and used to post with similar frequency in the LA Craigslist![]()
So there is this film called The Room that has gained a huge cult following in the past decade - basically a vanity project that was written, directed, and produced by a weirdo who of course also played the lead character. All of these things despite his not having a whit of talent in any of those roles. The movie is a self-professed drama and exploration of the human condition on the level of Tennesse Williams, but in reality comes off as a 2 hour soap opera/softcore porn written by someone who doesn't know how people actually interact and speak. Oh and a lot of uncomfortable sexual subtext that suggests that writing and making the movie was an elaborate act of self-arousal for its creator.
In short, this is the exact musical equivalent of that movie...
