That's interesting. sorta like bauhaus meets bob marley. it's funny that the title of this thread makes me think of the time I listen to the song fuel injected by swollen members. I once describe this song as gothic reggae for some reason. probably because I thought it has some elements of reggae and goth music. but listening to it now, I think it sounds more like gothic hip-hop. either way, it sounds dark and catchy at the same time.

Beat me to it!! David J was a big fan of dub and reggae music, you could hear that influence in lines like She's In Parties or Spirit. Never knew they did reggae tunes at shows though, that's pretty boss.

Love a track that starts with a tired sigh. Also goth reggae has existed since goth existed. Bauhaus did a few reggae numbers in their sets.

She's in Parties comes to mind (edit: oops, someone linked the vid above, lol), but yeah some deeper cuts too, man I loved the bassline on that one.
I guess it's cool to goof, I've done it, but hey the dude is creating his art. Whether it is good or not is subjective, but it's not like
he was asking for you to post his clip on here for a rank fest. It's not *quite* the same thing as YouTube fodder ripe for slamming.

I know this is a little shy of the mark but... This is pretty darn close to "gothic reggae" if you ask me.

Everything about 2tone ska for that matter always had a slightly goth feel to me...

Gothic Reggae. This guy posts on CL several times a day, every day, and has been at it for months. He's like the Dr. Zizmor of the musicians wanted section of the NYC craigslist - relentless and a little strange. Sucked in by the description of self-assured artistic intrigue I finally went and clicked on the link, and.... yeah. Well, he is looking for "bassssss"... should I go for it? (EDIT: I'm joking.)

He should check out Didges Christ Superdrum. Weird, but very interesting. I think they would get along.
