GR Bass new Super Light cabs

What the 2 above posted. If I was going to buy one it at this point, I'd order from Thomann while the currency exchange is still favorable and end up a few hundred less than stateside, even with the reasonable shipping charge.
Overseas shipping can be intimidating, due to return hassles if needed, potential customs tax etc. But if anyone is still on the fence, even overseas shipping should be somewhat less than for most cabs that weigh (at least) twice as much. And my AT210 remains among the best 210's I've yet heard, and *easily* the lightest. I want another one (and/or a 112) to complete my featherweight rig.
The only competition is Markbass's 58R series. Soundclips seem decent, but their aesthetic isn't for everyone.

I recently purchased an SLC 800 combo from Thomman for $1,408 US dollars (included shipping) + $25 import fee. It was almost as easy as purchasing from Sweetwater.
There were a few additional emails to pay the import fee.

Just got the SLC 800 Combo AKA AT Cube 800 recently. So far, so good.
Light easy carry, nice sound, decent power, the 112 is expandable with a 4 or 8 ohm cabinet.
Uses the ONE 800 head.

As mentioned, the Quilter and 212 Slim cab have a very clear sound. I suppose some would call it 'transparent' or perhaps even 'sterile'. The GR Bass 212 Slim combos have a much more warm tone, which is a pleasant surprise. The Mesa stack is also very warm and has a little bit extra bass beef for the low B string. Keep in mind these observations are made under very restrictive condominium conditions. For rehearsals and gigs I have only taken the GR Bass rigs due to their light weight, and in those conditions both GR Bass setups sounded great full blast. I am hoping someday for a gig with a bigger stage so I can take the Mesa rig and crank it up.

That's an out of stock link. Also, the price for that cab has jumped up a few hundred dollars.
Good to know. I'm sure the AT212 *not slim* sounds warmer.
That's the previous model. The new one is even 2kg lighter with the cloth instead of the steel grill, but it's "Available in several months".
I'm desperately waiting of the natural fiber version. 4 months ago I asked them how soon they would be available, and the guy from GR Bass answered "I month", LOL.

I bought my white leather 2x12 slim at NAMM in 2019. At the NAMM 2020 show they had those new carbon fibers. I told them to put them through the same amp at the same time, and switch back and forth so that I can hear a difference. It was a Sunday, with way fewer people on the floor, so I walked about 30 feet away from the booth with a bass and started playing. I told them when they were ready they could start switching back and forth. They told me they had been doing it the whole time. Those carbon fibers sounded exactly the same as the regular wood ones (which are already pretty damn light). I almost bought another cab right then. If my white leather slim wasn't so sexy, I probably would have bought the carbon fiber and sold my other one.

Compared this to a Genzler 1x10 and a GK Neo 15, Shechter J bass and SVT Heritage head. The GR sounded much better.
