Grammy commentary

I ain't knocking her physical appearance, ie her weight or fashion choices. The faces she makes are hard to watch and she has a really, really, really big mouth.

Right, didn't think you were knocking her weight or fashion, it's the whole package. The overall visual, be it her weight or the weird faces she pulls and her gigantic mouth, flies in the face of what gets sold to the public, as far as music stars are concerned.

And that's good.

Amen, except what you said about the Vampires. I like Rock'n'Roll that's teetering on the edge of falling apart.

Replacements fan back in the day, then?

I'm a little burned out on Dave Grohl.

You and me both. Early in the show when the FF were up for an award, I remember thinking "i hope they don't win, they are really quite overexposed."

Re: Jackson Browne and the Eagles.

If I recall correctly from watching 4 hours of a biography of the Eagles, Jackson Browne had the downstairs apartment under Frey and Henley back in the old, old pre-Eagles days. I think those guys go back a long way together and it wouldn't be surprising to see them enjoy working together.

For my part, I thought that Timothy B. Schmidt looked cadaveric, while Joe Walsh looked surprisingly clean and healthy. It'd be nice to think that Joe had some good years left in him. Such a lovely talent.

The Grammys are the most irrelevant of all the self-congratulatory awards shows. I don't know why you guys are surprised or disappointed. It is all contrived to bring attention to the right people at the right time.

The audio sucked - embarrassing for an audio related show that they had months to prepare. Most of the music sucked big time. I could only watch a few minutes of it - it was really dreadful.

This says it all -
