On those ports, does positioning make any difference? If they were all at the bottom, would that be O.K.? Or in addition to there being optimal porting (two 4" flared ports per 3015 speaker?), is it best for two of them to be close each driver for cooling purposes? Would two at the top & two at the bottom, or all four across the center/middle do the trick, too?

Since you are going with a LDS I would ask Don about what he is comfortable building, and I wouldnt worry about what is done in the Dually. Don should be able to suggest something to you, or show you an example of previous 215 cabs he has built.

Guess you could call me a fan. I got a composite Crazy8 from Mike Arnopol and, for my taste, it kills with a fretless 55-02, sounds great with an Azola chambered Mini Bass, and is enormous with a '39 DB from Mittenwald. I use FDeck's HPF-Pre II to nibble away the lowest frequencies to suit the room. The sound is simultaneously full and articulate.

I'm so wild about the Crazy8 that I ordered a companion Crazy88, which should be here within a month. My plan is to pole-mount the Crazy8 about a foot above the Crazy88, which would provide solid floor coupling for the 88 while elevating the 8 closer to ear level.

The top of the Crazy8 will be about four feet above ground level, where I should be able to see the controls on my amp clearly on stage. Ultimately, I think the cab height will be determined by the prescription for my bi-focals. :hmm:

This is the closest I've come to "my bass only louder" since 1968; I can hardly wait until the Crazy88 gets here. :hyper:
