And salutations! I used to be on here a few years ago but quit learning bass during the pandemic, depression setting in, etc. I played drums for about a year and had a natural ability on them but I have arthritis in the elbows and the pounding on drums was too much and I had to quit.
I picked up a guitar for a brief time but realized it's the bass that really calls to me so I'm getting back into it. I purchases Ray Vogt's program a few years ago so I still have that to use. I think I may try bass buzz first though to get started again, then use Ray's program, Studybass and Talkingbass from that point on.
I am a Deadhead, so I'd say Phil Lesh is my favorite bassist. I also like the Stones, Beatles, contemporary jazz, some traditional jazz, other rock. A little bit of everything except modern country and hip hop (listening to Rush currently as I type this).
I have a red Sire V3P bass, just arrived setup from Sweetwater. I will begin my new journey this evening after work. I look forward to being here and to learning.
