Less of a musican than me. No, not at all, your just,I would think a younger musician than me.

I would hope you would actually be better than me. None of this has ever been easy for me. It's still tough.

Do I wish you would have started a few years earlier, yeah, I do.

Looking back on your comment about a musician who began at 22, I must admit, I may even be a little frightened. I wish I started earlier too. In the 2 years I've been playing, I can honestly say I'm very proud of the skill I have now. Given an extra two or three years, I have no idea what I may be able to do right now.

Jung,I expect a lot more thought from you.I was in the 6th grade rehearsing for the talent show with my first band.

I was no Johnny Come Lately to the scene.

To this day if I am talking to a guitarist, bass player, drummer whatever and I ask when did you start playing. Whem they say something like, I was 22. In my mind I'm saying "Oh Dear" That will never work.

I have some opinions on how that effects certain parts of being in Rock. That is not to say that there are some great players that started later in live. It's just weird for me.

Key words guys, "Opinions" and "Me" as in just me.

I played Mozart in public when I was in 7th grade. It doesn't mean I was part of the Classical scene. I went to Disco Wheels to roller skate when I was 10, it doesn't mean I was part of the Disco scene. My friends performed raps and did the beatbox when we were in junior high, but it didn't make me part of the early hip-hop scene.

After putting alot of thought into it, playing at a junior high talent show and being part of a scene are not equivalent.

I actually never wonder or even look at anything in terms of not getting a gig.

If you don't get the gig, you don't get the gig and you move on and do whatever you have to do for whatever you want to do, I guess.

Depends on what better it is, you might be a better musician than me and it might be because you started playing earlier than me or just naturally a better musician.

Thats exactly what I have been saying.

A lot of the Tbers must see things in my posts that I don't see or they mis-interpret my posts.

This is because (I theorize) "metal" is not just a form of music; it's also a lifestyle or philosophy. One who subscribes to that lifestyle tends to consider all things metal to equate with desirable and cool. This makes things awkward when faced with a band that (in that person's opinion) sucks: it's metal, which equals good, but they suck, which equals bad---does not compute.

The way metalloids break out of this conundrum is to define a sub-genre of metal which is the "real" or preferred metal, which includes the bands they like, and identify some other sub-genre comprised of the bands they think suck. The result is vitriolic internet brawls over whether band X is in genre A or genre B, the answer to which depends on whether you like band X and which genre you prefer.

but also, (and i think more importantly) metalheads use so many different genres to describe bands because they are actually USEFUL!

if my mate tells me about a new band he's heard and describes them as melodic death metal, i'll have a pretty good idea of what they might sound like, and whether or not i would probably like them.

Another?!?! Usually "another" requires a first.

No matter how cool you thought you were in 6th grade, you were still part of the junior high scene. Thinking that playing kids parties makes you part of the "scene" is pretty laughable. Maybe you were trying to break into the scene, and maybe you were in the scene later, but in 6th grade, let's be real.

Another where you're making more out of something than it actually is, and too foolish to realize it.

You know people are only talking smack about Macca because you trolled on the Grindcore stuff. Odd how you get worked up when people diss Macca, the same way the Grindcore dudes don't like you ignorantly dissing their music. But instead of the Metal guys calling you old, you're calling them young.

You should probably learn that "you're replaces the words "you are". "your" describes possession.
Not trying to be rude but if you're going to be actively calling someone 13 or 14 years old you should probably be able to write at a 3rd grade level.
