I think the real issue here is, why are you wasting your time reading my threads?

If you read my commentary, most TBers understand I am not bashing or insulting anyone or any band, genre or whatever.I would never want to bring anyone down.

Am I coming out of left field, am I dated in some ways, quirky comments that are hard to make logical sense out of. Of course

It wouldn't be a very interesting forum if we were all the same.

Bro, just take these threads for what they are worth. Bluewine threads are the Jerry Springer show of TB. You know he's gonna say something stupid, but you just don't know how stupid it's gonna be so you watch the show. And like Jerry, sometimes it's entertaining and sometimes it's annoying, but you always feel better knowing there's someone more clueless than you. :D

That would make for a typical Jerry Springer moment.

There are a few movies out there that utilize grindcore to set the mood of a certain scene and personally, it changed the scene from generic to completely original.

This. And sometimes normal instrumentation doesn't accurately express the feelings you wish to express. This is why I "play" effect pedals in a feedback loop, because nothing else sounds like it, and nothing else makes that special feeling in my ears when those frequencies I will never hear again die a slow and painful death.

I agree that's how it's used now, which was my point "lost its meaning these days" -- trolls were out to destroy forums by getting people arguing about completely irrelevant stuff to the point that members would leave. But it's so easy now to ignore topics you don't care about, and this topic is completely within the bounds of the forum..."trolling" has become the tag for anything that bugs someone...and I hate it when language gets diluted like that...

FWIW I hate music like Grindcore, deathmetal,screamo or whatever they call that wall of noise, growling, mumbo jumbo. But I'm only adding it since the post was started. I wouldnt start a thread on it...who cares? I like Americana, Alt-country, folk, rock, blues. Some might think this music is just a wall of noise, growling, mumbo,jumbo too...its all good.

You make some kind of point I guess. If you look at those guys as icons then in your world they are. Anyone, any artist any of us dig is worth mentioning.

I guess you could say this just as I am saying it now. Those are your icons, not mine. To be honest I only recognize 2 names from your list.
