I used New Guinea Rosewood.

I ended up cutting the hill of early, looks more realistic and looks better.

And here it is ready for painting.

A fellow Christian bassist? I looooooovvvvvveeeee that headstock design. Might have to do something like that on my EUB build. How did you rout the slot for the inlay? Router?

Its all done now, it was a fun build, all went to plan.
It took me awhile to get these up as I have had internet issue's, all back to normal now.

The bass ended up with 2 coats of poly and then 10 coats of nitro, I applied the nitro more thinned than usual to give me more control, worker out well.
I use Durabond Nitro as its easy to obtain were I live and it works well.
