Because of the lack of an arm, and belly cut I don't play it much but it's a great early example of a Pilot.

Hallo everyone... :)

So, what would you say if I told you that it may very well be possible to buy brand new Guild Pilot basses again "soon"...? ;-)

Would you buy one (or more) and, how would you like it - color, hardware, etc...?

Mahogany body with a top!! I’m in. My mahogany bodied pilot needs a friend!!

Wouldn't it be cheaper to buy one on the used market? No waiting?

I like the Westerly, RI Guilds...doubtful they would or could produce Guilds there anymore. I wouldn't be interested in a re-pop.

I'm in Europe, not easy to find such a rare bass here...I have tried unsuccessfully to buy 2 Advanced Pilots from the US - don't get me started, lol...

I would live to buy one from a grown-up owner who is willing and able to ship to Europa - do you know anyone...?

A "re-pop" - even a CS version - would be just fine with me if the materials and build quality is top...

Mahogany bodied Pilot?...did not know they existed.

she started her life as a white painted pilot pro4 that has a guild pilot serial number and not a pro4 serial number. I have the pro 4 fretted neck still. Swapped for a fretless neck off one of my friends pilots.

when me and my buddy went to get it from a pawn shop I knew immediately it was mahogany. The wear mark on the pickup was through the paint and I could see all the glorious mahogany underneath. So we stripped it and this is how she looks now.
