Guild Pilot bass club?

Ahhh, the '80s and the early '90s - it was all fun and games until the world lost an eye...:meh:
Here's a couple of my Pilots at work in European clubs about 25 or so years ago...The white 602 I sold to a fan (I tracked it down and it's actually somewhere in the Phillipines now - trying to get it back) and the 602M is still with me...

Even some of the later Pilots had the strap peg on the back of the horn. Having played them with both locations I always felt the back worked better.

As for the strap, it came in the case with one of the used Pilots I purchased on ebay. Can't complain, it's a great comfy strap!

Two missing, an Advanced and an unlined fretless both in transparent charcoal finish I got this year.
I didn't buy my first Pilot until 2018, but now I've got a 1983, 1984, 1986, 2 1987's, and 4 1988's.
I gig the Advanced with flats the most, but they've all been out of the house at least 2-3 times.

What is the SN of your '83? I have BE100041 that looks identical.

Hello all...

Late last year I was amazed to find an ad in the local "buy, sell & trade" over here for this Pro 5 - I went nuts wondering what to do about it for awhile, but ultimately decided not to buy it because I rarely play 5 strings and I already own a Pro 5...It changed hands once already back in december and the new owner bought it cheap to flip it (used gear dealer) but couldn't seem to get rid of it...So, in the meantime the guitarist/co-founder of the band I play in thought his music would sound better in a lower tuning and, to ease things up, it then made sense to start playing a 5-string...So, I made a deal and traded the owner a 4-string BCR bass for it...He can move that quicker, I get a "practice room" Pro 5 (in original case), everybody's happy and no money changes hands...:thumbsup: The bass is in pretty damn good shape and only needs the usual clean up & set up - this was a really great deal for me and I am happy I didn't let it get away...:)
