Hello again, everyone...
So, the new Pilot is now in the post and on it's way to me - I am, of course, very excited and cannot wait until it arrives...When it does, I will share it's story and more fotos...
However, this Pilot is missing it's original truss rod cover which I will replace one way or another...So, I can start by asking if anyone here has one lying around that they would part with...? Or, perhaps a tip as to a source for a suitable "homemade" replacement...?

@EWH That is a fine group of basses. I don't have a natural finish on the right, and they all look to be in excellent condition! Very nice.

They ARE all in excellent overall condition...But, I will share a few secrets with you:
1.) The "amber" Advanced: the previous owner disconnected it's original preamp (but luckily left it still glued in place) and a new one put in with new pots also. I have no idea why, but the original loom came with the bass so I can always make it original again.
2.) The "blonde" Advanced: this bass was originally trans-black and rescued and restored from a madman who had, very, very poorly tried to strip off the original finish, ripped off the neckbinding and fretwire...The previous owner just prior to me had a very talented luthier save it and make it as good as new - minus the trans-black finish because the flame on this bass is simply far too magnificent to hide...The only reason this Advanced was ever made trans-black from the factory anyway was because of a knot in the wood next to the input jack roughly the size of a US 25. cent coin.
3.) The trans-black Advanced: this bass has seen some action and has several assorted small dings, chips and "air-bubble like" blemishes between the wood and the clear coat - mostly along the lower rear edge of the body, so nothing is visible from the front...It can easily be left original but, I flirt with thoughts of having it refinished with a trans-purple burst...Hmmm.

@gearHed289 - It's probably going to turn out that way...As we speak, Casey Crabtree (one of the official B.C. Rich Custom Shop luthiers) is finishing up a very special CS Mockingbird bass for me in Colorado, and the color will be what has been described as "Burple (blueberry/purple mix) Burst" - see foto below...If it is as magnificent in my hands as I dream about, then a Pilot done up similarly would be awesome...But with the Pilot, I might add some fairy dust metal flake into the mix...

Wakey-wakey, friends - an incredible SB-603 Pilot (sent by a very cool former owner) arrived at my home today...
I hope to have the time to write a little blurb about it and share a few updated fotos of it together with the others during the coming weekend or shortly thereafter...
