Guitar & Bass names

My wife thinks I'm nuts for naming all of my guitars. Tell me I'm not the only one!!

My current lineup:

Grace, too - Traditional '60s Precision
Carol - Traditional '50s SC Precision with Flats
Scarlett - Red Lado Neck Through Bass
Penny - JV Modified '60s Custom Tele
Juanita - Cabronita Tele
Estelle - Takamine Acoustic

Previous guitars:

Grace II - MIM Special Edition PJ Precision
Grace - Starcaster Bass
Frankie - Tony Franklin parts Frankenbass
Yasmine Bleeth - Hofner Veryrhin Guitar
Gretchen - Gretsch Electromatic guitar
Falcor - Squier VM Jazzmaster
Vickie - Airline Map Bass
Wendy - Garrison Acoustic
Eleanor - Lado Amberburst guitar
Augustus - Cello

But I've also named some of my cars:

Suki - Honda Ridgeline
Prudence Cordelia Kensington III - Mazda 6
Sadie - Acura Integra

And a couple other things:

Lucille - Pool Cue
Clancy - First grey chest hair
Mjölnir - Throwing Axe
Benny and the Jets - my uh, junk. Lol

My favorite guitar that I've named, btw, was Wendy. I named my guitar after my friend because they both were blonde, both made in Newfoundland, the grain on the back looked like Ws, and they both had a wider bottom. Lol

What are some of your guys'/gals' guitar names?

Yes!!!!
Names of all the basses I deemed name worthy, both of current ownership, or past as well.
1. Squier Bronco (my first bass): Ole Bessie
2. Epiphone Viola: Duchess
3. White Fender Dimension with Blackguard: Pauline (after Paul Simonon)
4. Rickenbacker 4003: Chrissy (Chris Squire)
5. Rickenbacker Doubleneck: Ruthie (Mike RUTHerford)

Sorry, I don't rename inanimate things using their brand name when there is a choice of one or more. Like my Prius or Volkswagen or Fender Jazz or Rickenbacker. Other wise what it is car, bass, amp.

No, I don't think you are nuts and I know lots of folks that name their gear.

for many/most of my years, it was just, "my ax." lately i have more of them, so it's the color + model, e.g.,
- blonde P
- red P
- black J
- blue PJ

all i got. don't have pet names for tools (they're nice, but they're a "what," not a "who").

...although i knew a pair of plyers and an adjustable wrench in my last neighborhood as "steve and diane." nice couple, but we weren't close.
