Guitar Center Changes Their Logo

Then they could always say they reconsidered it, while never actually having planned to make the change at all.
This is the stupidest thing I have ever read, and I've been on the internet since the first day.
Well, the advertising and marketeering industry doesn't appear to have had an original idea since at least the 1960s, so I'm not surprised that when GC found themselves going under and went to the ad agency, they reached into their tattered worn stained bag of tricks and said "Here's one! How about you change your logo? We'll design you a new one for time and materials plus profit margin..."
The closest one to me had a good selection pre-covid. Not so much since. Then again, at least half their guitar wall was still bare as well the last time I was in.
I thought the G was just fine. Now I will wonder if it's a cheap knockoff of the real store.

^i've been going to guitar center since 1972, yet i never noticed there was no G in the logo, so it took me a couple seconds to see the difference
