Guitar Center Screwed Me Again

Read TB rule # 1 dude.
The way the word "ignorant" was used (originally in post 204) was clearly not a TB rule #1 violation.

The word is not inherently an insult. It was not used in a name-calling fashion, to describe a person, or with any ill-will or disrespect. It was used in a literal sense and used properly by any reasonable interpretation.

A little late, but I just remembered something.

I bought a bass online from GC a while back.
It was still on the site the next day, so I emailed them about it.

Got the bass a few days later, and it was still on the site.
I emailed them again and it got taken off the site after that.

I'm wondering if several other people tried to buy that bass after I did.

I can't believe you stole @rogerbmiller's bass like that.

This is all your fault.

So anything that doesn't go along with a few of your self appointed "expert" OPINIONS about GC's inventory/website management systems is deemed ignorant, and that's not disrespectful or insulting in this case because you know all there is to know about GC's IT systems, and that's that. Do I have that right, your majesty?

Which post are referring to?

A week later I just received this:

That really sucks, sorry to hear that.. even though if an instrument is available online, I always give them a call, let someone grab the bass while I'm on the phone, and ask specific questions to make sure what I see is what I get.

It's more the fact that they wrote this a week later to inform me my funds will be released in another 3-4 days.

All the skeptics and trolls who thought I was crazy to suggest their antiquated used site is a mechanism to trap cash should read this...

So, you know that GC doesn't receive any money from pre-authorizations or pending charges, right? That's just your bank has marked your account largely for your and their convenience to avoid an overdraft.

Yes, GC has a sucky outdated system. No, it doesn't exist to trap cash as you put it.

I've bought 5 basses from GC in the past few months. I had 1 order cancelled due to it being sold but still listed for sale. The website is kind of quirky in that it lists an item being sold then reverts to the previous listing until the item is picked and shipped. Even though I was disappointed that I didn't receive the guitar the folks at their customer service center were very helpful and the money never left my account.

Perhaps the use of the word uninformed vs ignorant might be less subject to negative interpretation by most people?
