It looks like one of the earlier Roscoes -though the ones I've seen so far had pointier headstocks; the one on this one reminds me a bit of elrick NJS headstocks but other than that it looks kosher.

I heard some of these were known to develop some neck issues so you should probably be wary of it if you're going to pull the trigger on it. But then it's what I've heard, not experienced first hand. So take what I say with a grain of salt.

Either way, it doesn't scream deal of the century to me. I've seen similar ones sell for less than that in the classifieds here.

I'm not good enough to play a fretless OR a Roscoe, I was just curious because I'd never seen one like that

Yup.

I've had that one in my hands, it's actually a pretty nice bass. I'd put it at an early 90's build.

Well, I think it's mine, but that depends on how they work the sale.

I put it in my online basket a couple of hours ago, and got the "no longer available, remove item" edit. So I figured someone beat me to the punch.

I just tried it again and the sale went through. So wish me luck.

Any-hoo, I've been wanting one of these for awhile for bass and guitar, that's a decent price, and I had a CG gift card sitting around. Plus, I have a gig in a couple of weeks and we're doing "Hole Hearted." I'm playing guitar and don't really feel like switching guitars or dealing with my 12-string, so this should give me a nice facsimile.

It's a no-go. Pedal's gone. I got caught in the GC Used Twilight Zone.

I know this is how the game is played until they solve the latency problem. But I have a sneaky suspicion based on experience that when a deal like that (50% off new) comes along, it's usually an employee who sniped it.

I had a similar situation once, talked to the store manager and he said it was sold (also a pedal), later that day it popped up again on the site and I got it and it shipped to me.

Yeah, I just checked again, still getting the "We're sorry--we no longer carry this item." Can't add it to the cart.

I broke my own rule. I told myself I would sell off a bass before I bought another. But for some reason I just can't get away from checking the GC used page. Ugh.

$170 + $30 tax and shipping, $200 total. Lowest I've seen one of these in a long time.

I wondered what that was too. I wouldn't really care to have it, but it's got to be nicer than 160 bucks, judging from the look of the neck and the bridge. It'd be cool to try it out. I downloaded the images, and the writing on the back of the headstock looks like it's with sharpie or something and I can't read it.

If I am not mistaken, it is a Wishbass made from Guitar Fetish clearance parts. I think I recall reading somewhere that he had done a few of these builds.
