Guitar Center used site

Ordered this the other day and had it shipped to my local GC:

I was pretty stoked as these are super rare and seem to be nice power amps. Glad I had it shipped to a store because the box was DESTROYED. It was packed horribly for how heavy it is and was really beat up. Bent corners on all sides and scratches all over. The photos up there now are from the original listing, not its current shape. I didn't plug it in, I just bailed when I saw the condition it was in. Still a good deal for what it is, but buyer beware!

I'm kind of curious about this little guy.

Their shipping practices for used get is poor at best. I have bought a couple of things and it was awful. I don't know how anything made it safely to my house. I also do not have a guitar center near me, but the gear that I want isn't always around where I am either.

Your experience may vary. There are some great guitar center employees out there that do a good job packaging used items and those that of course could care less. I have experienced both but mostly good. Also I have had a “new” fender jazz delivered to me that looked like it went on 10 world tours and even had a busted bridge pickup. I don’t think was due to packaging though. Luckily I am 10 minutes from a local store and their return policy is fantastic. Although I am pretty sure they reposted it as new again and I’m probably not the only person that ordered said “new” American Jazz special and returned it right away. Lol Can’t beat the selection and ability to return when it goes south. For the most part if you are calling the store and getting good feedback on the item ahead of time you should expect it to land at your door fine.

Older US Lakland 44-94 for $1280.00. Has been off and on the site, so betting something’s wrong with it, but at that price, pretty tempting...

There are a few Roscoe 6-strings that I keep seeing pop up at different GC locations. People must be buying and returning them. I have to assume something must be wrong with them.
