Not my cup of tea. A little too much hiss in the high mids, but a fine pedal at a nice price

I saw this on Musicians Friend. It's a used Guild Starfire II for $699.99. It's at a G.C. (I think in Illinois). Great price on a cool bass if anybody's looking for one. (Of course I just bought one a couple months ago...)

That's not a Deluxe. They had 22 frets and the input jack was on the side of the body. That's most likely an American Standard.

Used Ampeg PF-500 on the site... it could use a little cleaning. For 1/3rd of the price of a brand new one, it may be a worthwhile pickup.

If all it needs is to be wiped down, this seems like a nice little deal on a 500 watt (at 4 ohms) head.

Wouldn't buy sight unseen - the necks on older ones can be hit or miss. I just spent 3 days in Milwaukee and could have driven down to the Chicago area to check it out but I don't think it was listed until I left the area. Doh!
