I don't know anything about this but it looks cool. And it looks like it has a normal bridge rather than a tailpiece and that floating nonsense.

Just in case you didn't know, that "floating nonsense" is required on a true hollowbody, only semi-hollows with a center strip allow for fixed.

I knew the answer before I called, but I was hoping maybe the angle of the picture was weird and there was a small chance this could be long scale. I really want a longscale violin bass.

I called and asked and the guy said "what do you mean shortscale? It's a bass...like a Fender. Basses aren't shortscale."

Did a little Googling, it's medium 32" scale, solid "luthite"(not wood) body, model is EFVB1...although there may be an EVB2 model(?) Made prob mid 90's, only one I found selling sold for $174.50. If you really want to find out the scale ask for the highest working manager and get them to measure it. I've had to do this in the past when being told by the sales people that they don't have a screwdriver or tape measure in the store, they just don't let the lower level workers around the sharp objects...

Side note: I talked with one of the higher ups in corporate yesterday about if I got a job in NY or LA at a GC and bought all the crazy good used stuff that came in, he said they'd never let me do that and that they run into guys buying things in cheap then having proxy buyers etc., they of course fire those people but there is a a good bit of actually really shady pricing and buying within their used setup that they are aware of.

I remember seeing a trans green Sadowsky NYC for i think around $2200-2400 about a year ago. Sadly I missed it by a couple hours before somebody else snatched it up. That was a deal!!!

I've seen them have a metro MV5 a couple times too but prices were actually a tad more than what you would normally see here in classifieds.

Someone please buy this!!!
The GAS is killing me. I have never seen an AVRI 75 in this color combo. And it seems like a hot price. The serial number checks out. Store manager says it dates to 99 and is in great shape except for one small chip on fretboard. If someone does buy it. Please let me know how it plays!!
