Guitar Center used site

Here's an odd one that might be worth someone's time. The description obviously doesn't match the picture, but based on my experience with the average competency of GC employees, there's a good chance someone might get a five string Stingray for $175.

Hmm- the gc site always gives my work pc problems. Eh, what the heck... They're close enough if I have to return it.

There's one Jazz and one Precision Bass Special…both are going for a scant $150! Since I'm good on that front, I thought I'd pass on the listings to anyone interested. The listing says "SLATE BLACK", but it's definitely Satin Pewter Metallic. The only one they made that came close to that look was the Special Edition Black & Chrome and the older ProTone, and that ain't either.

I posted this to the "Squier Owners Club", but I thought I'd drop a line here too. If anyone is on the lookout for a discontinued Squier Standard in the oh-so-awesome Satin Pewter Metallic, there's a Jazz and a Precision Bass Special up on their database.

Not quite sure what's going on here but if you're in the market for a bass with a blue fretboard:

I would actually consider that if it weren't for the blue. Wow. Is that paint, do you think? What else could it be, I guess.

Should have taken a pic. D'oh! Fender '63 NAV Precision 3TSB at Guitar Center Cerritos (CA) for $1399. :eek: Some buckle rash, otherwise just a lot of grubby fingerprints and dead old roundwound strings. Nice and light with a good feel to the neck. Played acoustically for a bit. Resonant. Not quite as nice as my '62 AVRI though. And what's with the lack of any visible wood grain? Reminds me of one of those basswood sunburst MIJs. Are they all like that?
