Guitar Center used site

Reminds me of one of those basswood sunburst MIJs. Are they all like that?
Basswood isn't used for all MIJ products. It was definitely used for some of the non-Fenderproduct line stuff like Jazz Bass Specials, Aerodynes, etc... but anything AVRI or Leo/Corona inspired used the same type of wood, such as Alder or Ash.

Thanks, to clarify, the body of the '63 NAV looks to me like one of the lower-end basswood MIJs because there is no visible wood grain. That is unlike higher-end alder MIJ or MIA sunburst basses that I have owned and/or seen. My question is, do all the NAV bursts look like that? This one seemed overpriced. Then again, GC used pricing is all over the place!!

"Thank you for your interest in the Used Darkglass Microtubes B7K Bass Preamp Pedal! I regret to inform you that this item is no longer available. Rarely, but on occasion, an item is ordered by two customers within a very short time frame. Unfortunately, your order came in after the first customer’s order was received. I will be canceling the order, but would like to help you find a suitable replacement. You may reply to this email, and I'll get you with one of our sales reps, or contact the store at 214.692.9999."

You can buy it from the website right here:

I don't think it's very likely, but it's entirely possible if you bought it online, they'd ship you a thousand dollar bass for $175.

Well I just picked it up from the UPS store and it's the Washburn. Should've done more research and saw that they have a listing at the store for the SR5, of course with the wrong picture.

Oh well, back it goes.

Thanks. I screen captured it before I ordered, just in case. Yes, I most definitely will be getting it all back.

Just to update, I did get my $$$ back, although it was a hassle to get the shipping. But I spoke with a manager, raised my voice (politely) and got it done. He said there is not an option in their system to return shipping, but after I told him that was unacceptable, he called someone who walked him through how to do a "return voucher" to my visa.

That being said, the store I returned it to (Highland Park, IL) was looking pretty sparse- LOTS of empty space, and their bass section was laughable. Things like this make me believe the GC in financial trouble rumblings.

Voucher shmoucher. It's a click of a mouse. I've returned at least a dozen basses to GC after discovering undisclosed problems after receiving it. No vouchers or phone calls or any hullabaloo necessary.

Yeah I never have even had to say anything about getting return shipping back, I bring it in and usually say "this bass is dumpster material and not as described" because I only bring back stuff that arrived in way worse shape then stated. They then do some clicks and act like they are doing me a favor and say "were refunding your shipping as well".

That's why I always use my Amex for GC purchased from other stores. Once they said they'd refund the shipping but didn't. I didn't realize till days later and getting someone on the phone just wasn't happening. I disputed the shipping charge and that was the end of it.
