Thanks. I was more looking at the 2 pickup version, but for the money I think this will be better fun experiment. I think the tone might be really good for the main band I play in, but if not, no big deal. Did anyone notice the not-squire version cabronita for 299? I almost bought that, but I'm unsure of the sound (demos suck).

This is just a 4004 with an added pickguard. Like the photo I've attached. Looks kinda goofy this way (and has extra holes from the pickguard screws), but certainly a good deal as long as everything works, neck is straight, etc.

This looks like an 81 with the slot poles. I requested some more pics which I've attached below for anybody interested. The guys at the store were pretty aure the fretboard was rosewood. Seems like a nice deal - I almost went for it myself.
