Go to My songbook Its a great site to download songs. Especially if you want to learn the bass lines to your fav song. ITs all tabed out for you non-readers, and you can play along to the song! Songs are MIDI format, and the note is highlited red as the song plays so you know what note to play. Good learning/practicing tool.

I know not everyone is a perfect musician and reads notes, but Im not sure thats the right attitude

Well I didn't want to post mainly because you said 'kEwL'

But I will regardless..

Guitar Pro is much better than powertab for several reasons:
-Many more songs are available, and they're more accurate than powertabs
-When using a song in the program, you can have many more tracks of various different instruments, where-as Powertab is very limited
-The overall interface of the program is much easier IMO
-It has a lot more features, including slowing down/speeding up songs, many effects that can be added onto instrument tracks, a digital tuner, scale/chord lists, etc.

An overall better program.

Guitar pro is great for learning songs because it gives you exact timings etc. whilst tabs do not. Furthermore it is a great way to write your OWN songs and remember them.

In addition to what Sonic Death said, you can also enter a song via standard notation.

theres only the six string version

Change it to 4 string version by hitting the track button at the bottom and changing it to a 4 string. >>
