Yeah, it's an Eotech 550. It works great. You can use it with both eyes open and the reticle seems to float in the air.
One of the things on my Christmas list is a Vortex Red Dot sight for my AR. I've heard great things about them. Wouldn't mind having an Eotech but I just don't want to spend the money. I just put a new scope on my deer rifle too. I guess this is the year of the optics for me.

I've been on the Eotech site after seeing that.Its really cool,are there any disadvantages to red dot/holo?If the army uses those,there shouldn't be I guess.
No disadvatages really for CQC but you have to adjust the intensity to suit the available ambient light.

BTW -I have a 1960's 12ga Wingmaster with a Polychoke that was my late Godfather's and it is still taking game in style.

I'm a fan of the "short skirt and long jacket" AR look, too - here's a really bad pic of my 9mm that I took just to show a friend how it was set up. The oilcloth was too wet - I need to reshoot it dry and with a background:

I'm curious about the muzzle velocity you are getting from such a small round with such a long barrel. ^^^

As to the velocity, you generally lose 50-80 fps for every inch down to 13" or so with faster rounds (3000-3500fps) .

Be loud as a MF though. And would blind everyone in the house. Wouldn't want to be near that thing when it went off indoors. Maybe a can.
Well, his is a 9mm so it wouldn't be bad at 11.5". My 5.56mm is loud as a MF with the 14.5" though. Most that are shorter than that do have a can. I couldn't imagine firing mine indoors without muffs!

I'd put one on a 16" if it wouldn't cause all the cool kids to laugh at me. The flaming pig is a classic!
With no ports, it will do that to some extent. The design is a chamber to trap gasses (rather than vent them) and increase the back pressure in the barrel so the DI system on an SBR will have more gas for a relatively longer period, and help the rifle function more reliably.
Which is why the cool kids would laugh if I put one on a 16". It's supposed to be the schnitz on a 11.5".
