I'm just kind of bummed about the whole thing. I felt really bad when we let him go, and given how much it stung him, I guess that was about the right thing for me to feel. I knew he took it hard, but he's held onto it for a good long time.
I really do wish him and the new band well. I just guess I shouldn't try to tell him that........

Meh. I'm done.
I tried to get Jill to talk to him. She says Phalex has always acted great to her and considers him a friend but doensn't want to get involved in the situation with Brent.

Your OP states that the guitar player fired him, but he may still harbor a grudge if he feels you were part of the "group vote" that ousted him, whether or not that's actually how things went down.
At the end of the day, you made the right gesture, but he'd rather the bridge remain burned.
Well....... Tycobb73 was right on the money. I talked to the singer at the bar for a bit, I got shots for her, her drummer and myself, walked over with shots in hand, said "Hey man, how you doin?", he stood up, said "Alright." and walked out the back door.
So, I did a shot with the singer, left his where he was sitting, and went back across the street.
Their breaktimes were pretty well synced up with ours apparently. I went over there on every break we took, and they were on break every single time. I didn't want to piss him off mid gig, so I didn't go in. It would have been nice to hear them though.....
So, apparently, there's at least one person that I'm aware of that really doesn't like me.
He says phalex was a coward and a p**sy.

Everybody says that! I'm thinking of having T-shirts made.......![]()
it's usually better to let sleeping dogs lie......Meh. I'm done.
"Can I get more coward and p***y in my monitor, please?"
My band is playing at a place that has competition directly across the street. It's always a lot of fun when we know the band over there, because we'll run back and forth on break, and do shots, maybe sit in for a quickie if there's time........
The band there this weekend is comprised of Tycobb's old singer, and the guy that used to be our singer (He's a good drummer) playing drums.
The guy can sing really well, but he had zero stage presence, and we had to let him go. That was maybe 2 years ago or so. He took it really hard when the guitar player fired him, and from what I've heard from various sources, he's still pissed at my band.
I always liked the guy myself. He's really easy to get along with, and I never had any issue with him.
So I'm kind of wrestling with whether or not I should run across the street on break and say hi. Maybe do a shot or three with the him and his singer? If he's still extremely pissed about getting canned, should I just try to avoid him? I'm thinking shots are in order, but not sure how well my presence will be received.
I think the first question I would have...is that a picture of you in your avatar?
