Looking cool on stage and being photogenic are often mutually exclusive.
I've been really impressed by lots of players live, and then ran across pictures (or interviews) of them that made them look like dorks.
My top 3 bassists that take the coolest live photo's in no particular order...

Aston "Family Man" Barrett. He's the guy that backed Marley basically from start to end. And continues to jam to this day. His brother Carlton "Field Marshall" Barrett was the Wailers drummer who got murdered.

If you know any Bob Marley cut, Fam's had a hand in it.
