Has anyone tried SX basses

I can see it now....

The Essex (SX) Bass Forum

Right, but the noobs will still post new threads in basses, and the new Essex (SX) forum itself will be a catastrophe, as every single new thread will be a variation of

"SX Basses, they worth it? THE MEGATHREAD"

So no one will be able to differentiate where they contributed last, sending the whole shebang into a swirling full circle endless discussion... the equivalent of the perpetual motion engine if it were achievable...but hey, it's prolly a good thing to lock it into one forum...maybe write a script that if in the thread title or text contains the letters S&X beside each other, they MOVE THEMSELVES to the forum, by default, automatically. That'd be awesome. CONTAIN THE budget BEAST!

Hence the second part of my post -
And a Sticky at the top of the forum "How to search for SX bass posts"

Still wont weed out all the noobs or dimwitted former guitar players, but it might help....

yup, got 2 and love 'em. A regular scale J and a short scale J with a nifty little Jaguar type body. Don't let the some people put you off. For the price, they are a great looking, great playing bass that can either stand on its own merit, or make a really great platform for mods.

As a forum we need to be nice to newcomers and let them post threads without the rest of us saying we have already talked about that ...

The existing SX threads are overkill ... let them die and we can do new ones ...

Apparently so... even I tasted it up here in Kentucky.

Oh, by the way. Has anyone here ever played a Fender... I think they call the particular model a 'Precision' something or other?

No WAY!! I never claimed to have projectile vomited........but it was close :D

Having quit the OT area, I find these threads to make up the difference in my entertainment debt. I say, NO SX forum, NO SX sticky. Why ruin a good thing??? :p

By the way, I have heard of this Fender Precision thing you mentioned. I think I have one around here somewhere

;)
they seem pretty cheap but i have heard that for the price especially their guitars can't be beat. Just wondering about their basses.

I'm sorry for being a smartie, but I thought I asked silly
questions. Seriously...when are they gonna give you an
sx bass with 4 boxtops of raisin bran? How can anything be so
seemingly inexpensive? Are they made of pressboard? How close
are we to the day of the disposable instrument?
