Hats off to Schecter!

I e-mailed them regarding a manual/info sheet for the used Stiletto Elite 5 I bought a few months ago and got a personal e-mail response answering my questions and including a downloadable manual and a link to emg for my questions about the preamp circuit within 1 hour. Now that is customer service!

I like schecters, They're a very classy bass for type of sound they can put out, and they seem to be in decent supply, too. the only problem I've had with them is whenever I play them at GC the action is so low that that strings are almost touching the neck before I even put my fingers on them.

Probably the best bass deal I ever scored was a Schecter Stiletto Extreme at Best Buy of all places! I saw it hanging on the wall for $219.00! Naturally I thought it was a used bass because they sell new at Guitar Center for $399.00. It was on sale and they even had one still in the box in the warehouse! Very underrated bass guitars!

That's awesome. On the other end of the spectrum is EB Musicman. You send them an e-mail and they basically have the attitude of "why are you wasting my time?"

Im not sure how the emailing side of things goes, but I called them one day and they were extremely polite and proffesional, as well as took care of my issue.

I had a similar great experience after buying a Diamond P5. I liked the strings and after not being able to get info on their website, I emailed them and they replied the next day, along with a "welcome to Schecter" and a thank you for purchasing a new Schecter.

I have an Ibby and a Peavey, sold a Rick, and this bass is so nice I'm unloading the other two and gonna look into a sixer. Another Schecter if it feels right.

I always loved Schecters customer service. ESP, who I currently use, has horrible customer service. They rarely can answer your questions over the phone and if you email them good luck getting a response. I've also been registered on their forums for almost 8 months and they still haven't authorized me to post.
