@JimmyM is an Ampeg fanboy. At one point he falls out of love for their current production and turns to other stuff like MarkBass, exposing how the latter's US customer service sucks in the process. He also gets mad at TC Electronic over a free pedal he didn't receive, or something. Then TC lie about specs and Jimmy calls them out on it, like 90% of sub-forum regulars.
@arai, OTOH, is a TC fanboy and pushes back hard, bringing up the missing free pedal thing. After a while, TC sort of correct their published bull, Jimmy lands an Ampeg endorsement deal and arai has become a sort of Jimmy fanboy, one that follows him through the courtyard at recess and pulls his braids at random. (But after all, ladies and gents of the jury, isn't forum stalking the sincerest form of flattery?). Case in point, a couple pages back where he kinda calls Jim an ostrich, but kinda doesn't, and also uses such offensive language as "th*" and "*f", to which Jimmy takes rightful offence. But one does not simply oppose JimmyM here: the last one who tried ended up permabanned after throwing an alcoholic tantrum over a lost battle of "Little Wing" renditions. In comes
@Jeff Bonny, apparently a JimmyM fanboy himself of the more conventional kind, who, in a dramatic multipart confrontation, kinda calls arai a dick, but kinda doesn't, and even addresses him as "sport". O. M. G. But then arai does the unthinkable, throwing in the "s*n" word, leaving @Sartori, yet another Jimmy fanboy, with no choice but to take him head-on. As an interesting aside, the expression "s*n *f a b*tch" reveals its complete offensive potential after this thread: basically you can only get away with using "a" (but I would avoid it in polite circles if I were you). Where were we? Oh, yes. Why hasn't this thread already been made a sticky? We need as many TBers as possible to chime in, we need to dot our richards and cross our sons and GET TO THE ROCK BOTTOM OF THIS, DARNIT.
Meanwhile, the Ds have toppled the SVTs, or not, but c'mon, who gives a fart after all this?
Also, @One Drop is his usual, voice-of-reason self. Boring.
(Just kidding. I'm a One Drop fanboy. Love you man.)
