The thing is, I know that even with all we do know, we really still are at a very primitive level of understanding about ourselves and about everything else around us.

But what we do know explains much of what is considered paranormal.

I'm sure future generations will marvel at our ignorance, but it won't be about our inability to believe in ghosts they will marvel at.

We know quite a bit as a species though, of course there's always room to learn more. Doubting science is doubting the culmination of millions of years of human learning.

Wow! you don't see many of those around much anymore!! and that one seems very calm...most of the ones I run to into in the field like to coil up and smear themselves with blood !

So, your idea of fun is more important than the intent of this thread; than the OPs idea of fun. Hearing about wrong things is fun too.

In lab coat, Leonard speak: I dig Frodo. He is one badazz Hobbit. You know, fiction. Science geeks everywhere get thrills to the spine just reading about his exploits. To me that is rubbish. It doesn't even qualify as an hallucination.

I was hoping this thread would remain a story thread, not another deconstruction by way of Occam.

There's the first problem. Believing that man has been around millions of years.

Humans haven't learned anything in your skewed 'millions of years " perception. We're still the evil, race hating, power hungry,pillaging, murdering sons of bitches we ever were.

Meanwhile violence in developed countries continues the downward trend it's been on for a long time.
