Maybe do some online looking about "lucid dreaming". It's a known thing and has been researched for years. Still undetermined how it happens, but it's basically being conscious of your dreaming. Some folk do it alot, some don't. I do, and it just fascinates me. Willfully controlling actions in your dreams. Happens about once, sometimes twice or more, a week. The awareness and control doesn't last for the duration of my dream, but strangely, those are the parts I remember after waking.ot necessarily seeing a ghost, but I did have a weird hallucination while waking up to sleep paralysis one afternoon years ago.
This was about twenty years ago so I was around 17, 18 years old. I was home by myself since the family went out of town for the weekend and I had to work. I laid down for a quick nap one afternoon, and as I was waking up I realized I couldn't move. I could hear the old clock in the living room not far from my bedroom ticking away and even chiming that it was 4:00, so I told myself I'm definitely not sleeping. I tried and tried to move or to say something but nothing. After what seemed like forever of laying there paralyzed I saw my dad come into the room. Now remember that they're all 400 miles away on a long weekend so I was really freaked at this point. He slowly comes over to me, leans over and says "Brian, it's time to go". Then an instant later he's gone and I can move.
After sitting in my bed for a minute calming myself and trying to figure out what the heck just happened, I went out the clock in the living room and sure enough it says a couple of minutes past 4:00, so I was definitely awake and envisioned my dad coming into the room telling me "it's time to go". Haven't experienced sleep paralysis since.
Dreams within dreams, sleep paralysis, dream images over reality when just waking up. There's some odd things go on during sleep. All very cool. The sleep paralysis doesn't happen much, but when it does, it's usually after a scary dream that I'm aware of and can't move to positively wake myself up. Which sucks LOL.
Sorry 'bout the sidetrack and now, back to ghosts. I've never seen one. My mom said she had once, my wife's sister says she has. If they're real, I want to see one. Would be intriguing and just very cool.
