About 30 years ago I almost drowned in a raging river. As I'd reached my last ability to call for help, knowing my next breath would fill my lungs with water,
I saw an old man on the shore, fishing. In what seemed to be slow motion, he put a weighted practice bob on his line and cast it to me. Frantically, I grabbed the line. Then I looked at his face and saw the face of my grandfather, who had passed away 10 years earlier. The old man pulled me in from the swirling water just far enough for me to find footing in the sandy bottom and I crawled out of the river on my hands and knees. When I looked up to thank him for saving my life there was no one there.
Ghost? Apparition? Divine Intervention?
I can't say,
but it is a True Story.
