I felt the same way. And at this point, I’m at like 11-12 amps.

Sorry I missed seeing the families - that would've been cool. And I'm pretty sure that's the first time my accent and "sexy" have been used in the same sentence - always thought I had a face for radio and a voice for silent movies!

My daughter and her friend actually said "australian" accent, I corrected them by the way!

Maybe next time :thumbsup:

We're bass players we're not supposed to be sexy! That's my story and I'm sticking to it. :roflmao:

Hi guys!

Tonight we had a good crowd. We actually talked about bass amps, like the Oliver. We talked about TV shows, mostly science fiction. We told dad jokes, mostly not funny, at least mine weren't.

Hey! My friends!

We had good crowd and a really nice time at the Zoom GTG last night! Folks were dropping in an out all night long.

@Kitsapbass, @BassCliff, @ak56, and @WI Short Scaler were talking about our Thanksgiving plans when, Lo and Behold! @Bassed in NZ joined us on location at his gig! Matt gave us a quick tour of his beautiful venue, outdoors and right on the harbor. I think it would be pretty cool to live on an island, always close to the ocean. Then Matt had to leave us to finish setting up. It looked like a beautiful day in New Zealand.

Just after Matt left to play his gig these other four mooks showed up again.

@nixdad pretty much sat in the dark, @dbase pulled himself away from "The Mandelorian", @McG relaxed on his couch, and @1bassplayinfool joined us from his back patio. We all regaled each other with stories from our first gigs, shared some old photos, and generally enjoyed the merriment. We found out most of us started playing in our mid to late teens, some of us NOT on bass. :jawdrop: (I did not play bass in my first band.) I know I have some but I could not find any pictures of me playing piano in my Dad's church in my early teens. Grant and Bill both shared pictures from when they had hair. :smug: Chris (@nixdad) told us of how his first band sort of got started by accident when he was jamming with friends. @Tony In Philly, who joined a little later, had a similar story; there were too many guitar players so he volunteered to play bass.

It was a ton of fun, guys. Thank you very much. We'll take Thanksgiving week off and pick it up again the week after. Next time perhaps @BassDad1964 (Robert) will join us. If anyone else would like to enter our cacophony of Zoom, just drop me a PM with your email address. Thanks!

I hope everyone enjoys their Thanksgiving holiday with family and friends. Despite the madness going on in the world, we still have MUCH to be thankful for. May we continue to strive to keep and share our abundance and our freedoms. God bless you all.

They were auctioned off.

Some went quite inexpensively.......I know personally.

Somewhere the auction catalog is around here and more importantly the sheet on what the stuff went for.

Was surprised to see suits of armor and very early digital watches? Had no idea they were collectible, they are!

Hello my friends!

We had a spirited conversation this evening at the meeting of The Bass Players He-Man Guitar Haters Club. :roflmao:

Everyone did their homework and brought pretty good jokes to tell the room. I especially enjoyed Robert's train joke. :roflmao: Grant told a dirty joke. :jawdrop: We also talked some basses. Arnie had his U-bass handy. Gary sold one bass and bought three. Chris told us about the new hollowbody Ric. Nate was celebrating and we all congratulated him. Gary also told us all how to get rich by slinging rocks at the hedge fund giants. Tony's Ireland trip stories are always a hoot. Bill has several gigs booked for this summer and some of them actually pay. Plus we solved a few of the world's problems.
