It's... kinda cool. I think Steinberger nailed it for the most part with the original by literally cutting way the excess to reduce it to its minimalist size...

I need to snag a "rescue" fiver...something under 8 lbs...for when my back flares-up and I'd like to keep the price tag below $1500. Don't need anything fancy-schmancy and I can add an onboard pre down the pike if necessary. Any assistance is appreciated!

The body is not weird at all when you play it. In fact, it feels like a better Steinberger/NS Design despite the technical flaws Strandbergs are having with these models
