Heaviest Bass you've ever seen?

I agree, heaviest bass I've ever lifted.I picked up a Steve Harris signature model once & put it back down really fast, because it felt like it was around 15 lbs.
Later I read on Sweetwater's site that they're around 12 lbs.
I'm sure someone will be along shortly to tell me I'm wrong or that my opinion is nonsense
Played a '76 Jazz at Guitar Center a few years ago that was 12 pounds. Was a great sounding, playing and looking bass, but just too damn heavy for me.
I was going to ask how the Steve Harris Precision is so heavy, but, then I found my answer..

I owned a T40 fretless back in the day that weighed a ton, that's the heaviest bass I have owned (2nd place would be my 83 Fender Elite II).
But the T40 is a flyweight when compared to the Dan Armstrong Lucite Bass. My shop owning bandmate had one in on trade years ago, played it maybe twice and that was that. Stupid heavy and stupid tone!
I can't believe there has been no mention of the Kramer aluminum neck beasts.
And if I remember my history, these Guilds are pigs too.

This sounds just like a 5-string Alembic that we'd custom ordered for a customer back in the early 90's with a macassar ebony top. It was beautifully made, but the thing was an absolute log - unplayable in my book.
However, this is the heaviest I have heard of:
I spoke with Robby Pagliari from Ohm a few years ago at the NAMM show in Anaheim. I believe he mentioned his custom made red Yamaha 6-string fretless is somewhere between 27-29 pounds. It has a brass block installed under the bridge.

That's, wow.., ouch.
The Steve Harris is the heaviest off the shelf mainstream bass. I own 3 of them, and my G&L LB-100s are all metal flake as well. The flake alone is worth several pounds. Also, G&L bridges are routed 1inch into the body. Mine can easily hit 13-15 lbs with the flake and clear.

My Warwick Streamer is pretty weighty. Warwick doesn't state weights and I'm not vane enough to have a bathroom scale. It is heavy enough to make my G & L L2500 seem as light as a feather by comparison.
I have a 1970 Dan Armstrong/Ampeg See Through, and yes it's godawful heavy. But it's not as heavy as my 1963 Ampeg by Burns of London Vista Sonic Bass. Solid sycamore. Now youz guyz are gonna make me pull it out of storage and try to weigh it. My bathroom scale only measures in half-pound increments, so if I do, it won't be very exact.

I assume that's a purpose-built traveling model?
not sure of the weight but back in the mid 80's, one of the used stores across from the hollywood g.c. had a modulus 18-string (bass-octave-octave x's 6). almost broke my wrist taking it off the guitar stand. had to be close to 20 lbs.
