Wow, are you stacking the two Bass Boost Choruses or are you using them as two separate "presets"?View attachment 630056 Two of my favorite choruses. Thin and thick.

Haven't got it yet, will let you know. Or someone else can. When you turn the intensity down pn the BCD, how clean is the non-processed sound?
or
Am I worng that with the intensity at zero, there is still some effect going on.
I'm wondering if this acts as a blend control.
Well...I just got this (for the second time...don't know why I sold it back then.)
Is it just me or does this look exceptionally clean for an early eighties MIJ CE-2?

I want people to know it's onI was surprised that you didn't like the TCE Corona. I like to use a little reverb after mine. It's great at adding some shimmer on top of a dirt section. But i'm not using mine as a typical Chorus, mine is set quite lite and I'm not sure what I'd go for in your situation either.
On the serious tip: Though it is too large a box for Jimmy's current requirement, I recommend the Diamond Pedals HCH1 Halo Chorus. What a beautiful, all-analog sound. And it lets you tune the delay time with an internal control; for bassists, that means choosing the degree to which low frequencies are smeared/noticeably effected.
Snaxster, since you updated this thread 2 years later, so will I
The BCD has been on and off my board several times...not because it didn't sound great, but that old love/hate thing with chorus that I've got going on. Sometimes I'd pop it on and get a chub, sometimes I'd pop it on and feel like I was just fooling myself. But I found a fantastic use for it while rehearsing with my new instrumental guitar/bass/drums trio. We do a song where I get a synthy sound using my Boss OC-2 with slight OD at first, and then fuzz courtesy my awesome as all getout MXR Bass Distortion. But something was missing where it didn't quite capture the synthy sound I wanted. Tried the envelope filter in my Bass Synth Wah...nope, not it. Tried the BCD...BINGO! Made it sound like an old analog synth with two oscillators, one ever so slightly detuned. And then my oldies band started doing a couple mid-to-late 70's songs where a chorus was actually warranted. So now it's earned a permanent but very selectively used spot on my board.
Got zero use for the crossover, though. All it does is make the chorus disappear on the low notes. Flanger doesn't see much use, either. It's not a bad flanger but there are better, and I just don't have any use for flanger yet. Maybe one day...but I think if I had it to do over again, I'd probably save a few bucks and get the Analog Chorus. But maybe one day I'll write a song that justifies the flanger on the BCD, so I'm in no hurry to trade down![]()
I have given up on chorus - but I just bought a Lex Leslie pedal that give me really cool modulation, a basic chorus effect and that great "leslie" vibe. So I'm good now.
Today I got a Malekko Omicron Chorus. This is the newer version that can be powered with up to 18 volts. Playing it at 18 volts with a passive Jazz Bass (Custom Shop, with vintage pickups), I loved the sound and feel of the Malekko Chorus
Why don't you try the Valeton CH-10?
It's has a really small footprint and it's a clone of the Boss CH-2. And it's analog.
