Help me to appreciate matching headstocks

I'm in the, "I like some matching headstocks" camp. I (as well as my band mates) really dig this one that I put together (with gracious assistance from @JIO). I'm super happy with how it turned out. It's my only matching headstock bass.

I have nothing to add except that I see you're in Rome. I spent a week there over the summer with the wife. Beautiful city with great food. Would love to go back one day.

It might not be until years from now (1st child due in a few months and I don't want to bring a little kid to Rome), but I'll definitely back. Fantastic food and great wine. We wandered a lot and I think (hope) we ate at some spots that weren't just tourist traps! Rome and Venice are definitely on my "to-visit" list again. I wasn't all too impressed with Florence, but we had bad weather when we were there.

I hate when the headstock doesn't match anything else! (e.g. blue body, rosewood board, maple HS) - That's probably why I like maple boards so much!

I'm with you. The combination of rosewood fretboard and maple/unpainted headstock triggers my OCD. Matching headstocks or all maple, it's cool.

Just got a G&L M2000 Tribute with a matching headstock. I'm on the fence with that one. Because it's white, it reminds me of the 80's (for some reason?).
