"Hey dude, play something awesome!"

Every time you go to a gig, or a jam with some non-participants attending and you're a halfway decent bassist someone will inevitably walk up to you and say:

"DUDE! Play something crazy/awesome/*fill in the blank*"

What is your go-to song(s)/riffs(s) when you get asked this question?

I don't need to go there! If you ask me that question I turn everything on on my pedalboard:D and do what ever comes to mind, some times though I will play On The Run... Hard to do but fun.

I'll whip out Ornithology, and working on Donna Lee now...

Donna Lee is turning out to be a handfull... Took me 2 hours to get the first 4 bars up to speed. Going on almost 8 hours for the 2nd 4 bars, and its either smooth or fast, but not both so far... Thinking I may have bitten off more than I can chew here, if it takes that long to get 8 seconds of music right, maybe I'm not ready for this...

Sometimes the bass solo from Earl Klugh tune "Twinkle" (its a slap solo I learned).

i just link some muse riffs, usually start on unnatural selection riff, into "osaka jam" and finish on microcuts riffs. there not that hard, sound flashy and people think there insanely hard by flicking distortion/octave pedals on or off to build the riffs.

come together by the beatles goes well too.
