that took some real guts - especially to go to a Jam session where you did not know what was going to be played! I am glad it worked out and was a positive experience for you!

I'd played in bands before and just moved to the city 20 years ago and was eager to play again so I attended a blues jam.

I got the plug (literally) pulled on me and the host made a snide remark over the mic about "the jazz bassist" (I'd played some wrong notes) and then thanked me for coming and reminded me that he expected players with talent to attend his jams.
