there not the pretties pedals, but what if they sound great?
too dang big. seriously what are they thinking? i don't care if it sounds like the voice of satan himself, I am not making room on my board for any huge pedals
Those look terrible (and too big for their own good), but, if I know MarkBass right, they will probably sound great. Will keep my eye on them.
Hmmmm, pure speculation so far. As to size, Moogerfoogers are pretty big, as well as some EH pedals. Color, minimum importance. Its WHAT THEY DO FOR BASS that is bottom line importance. If its more of the same, then I'm not impressed even they are from MB. But I do feel a chill of tentative excitement based solely on the quality and innovation MB just might have put into these masked babies. Just gotta wait until I can try one out--especially that chorus/flanger might catch my fancy if they have broken new ground towards basses.
In the end, I guess we'll have to wait and see. And then we'll see the price.

If they sound great, then great! That is always the deciding factor (which is why I added the 'without sound samples bit')
Considering that they seem to be able to make a lot of noises (preset banks and whatnot) they don't look all that bad to me either.
yea.. anything that sounds good enough is worth the space. but this is coming from my "i dont give a **** what the amp weighs if it sounds good" mentality and not the "im old and disfigured and wont use an amp that weighs more than 30 pounds" mentality.
with that said, they dont look that big anyway. especially if the overdrive has tubes in it.

Listen, I see tons of people driving yellow and black Hummers and SUV's and trucks all over the place in America so I don't even want to hear it 
I often think to myself that the Markbass stuff MUST sound good, because it looks AWFUL and people not only BUY it, but they recommend it too.
The MB stuff I've tried sounds pretty decent but it certainly doesn't sound good enough to drown out its looks. I know it's shallow but I live in a 850 sq ft 1 BR in the city - it's not like I have a spare music room. It'd just be smacking me in the eyeballs 20 times a day in all it's police-tape-tonkatruck-dewalt-caterpillar-home-depot-husky-tool magnificence.
Seriously though, MB really needs to revisit the whole design aesthetic. They got a bit closer on the limited edition Marco LM2. I'd like to see a nice dark cherry ambered wood on the faceplate with white lettering and chrome knobs and chassis. Alas, most bass amps look pretty crappy - it'd be nice if that changed.

Electro-Harmonix makes some huge pedals and not too many people make a big stink about them because they usually sound awesome.
I for one can't wait to try these out. If they are the same quality as their amps I'll have to do some trading to get one.
