Hows this thing turning out i need pics im addicted to this after seeing Pacman hahaha
Oui, S'il vous plait Jean nous informes !!!
(Yeah, plz informe us Jean !!!)
Sorry, I thought it might help lol
I'm waiting too.
It is going to be hilarious when he finally posts pictures and everyone who has been dying to see it hates it.
Either that, or we'll all have come up with these mental images of some true monstrosity and finally see it and think, "Hey, that's not too bad."
After the Adler 12, I wouldn't be surprised .
Im anxious as well please give us an update Jean!
You guys are too much.
well, it's still being sprayed. So not much to report. I believe the inlay will be going in after that. Then the hardware.
I'm anxious enough as it is, these threads aren't helping!
Love it or hate it - jaws will drop. That or .
Umm, are we there yet?
The finish is done except for the last coat. The latest holdup is the inlay. The pieces of the inlay are finished and the fretboard is routed out but the inlay hasn't been glued in yet.
Once that's done the frets go in and then the nut and hardware will be set up and the electronics plotted out. After that, the hardware will be chrome-plated (which will be another delay) and the last coat of finish will be put on, electronics installed - then final set up!
However, even if the entire bass was finished this minute I would not be able to play it. We found out back in October that the current strings available will not handle the scale length.... there are no 36" scale F# or C# strings. We did a mock setup and the nylon wrap was on the fretboard! Hopefully, SIT will pull through for me in the nick of time with some custom length strings (they are working on it!).
I'm very closely watching this thread - I too am to horrified to turn away...
I'm sorry... whenever I read "the hideous claw" I think of Jim Carey in "Liar, Liar."
the inlay is done. the frets are in. the pickups are wired. the electronics are ready.
intial set-up is waiting for some custom strings before it can continue. so the bass is in limbo again till I get a package in the mail.
Tell SIT I'll kill them if they don't get it ready for you by tomorrow..
And then tell them I'm sorry, and I didn't mean that.
I'm excited! Can't wait to see it!
Whoa Jean....... The hideous claw is almost alive! Thats crazy. You are indeed a sick man.
This hideous claw talk is starting to drive me crazy.. any bass with that name is definately going to be "interesting" especially considering Jean.
Turns out it's just a four-string P-bass with a small painting of Dr. Claw from Inspector Gadget on the pickguard. It's got five trussrods though.
dude you stole my avator !
