Hofner-(not just Beatle Basses)-Group Part 2

This thread has been quiet for the past several months so time to inject a little life into it.

Here's a recent pic of my two Contemporary basses. I've swapped out 100% of the Chinese made parts for German parts and electronics on the HCT500/1 (left). I've done the same with the electronics on the HCT500/1 CV (right).

Does anyone else have trouble with headstock tuners on their hofners?
I think it's because of the neck joint and bridge. Maybe the vibrations don't transfer through the neck to the tuner. Also the TI's and foam at the bridge probably don't help.
I usually clip the tuner to the tailpiece if I'm ever using one.

Never. I've used clip-on tuners on the headstocks on my Hofner Club and Violin bass as well as other violin basses since the tuners first became available. I currently use three different brands of clip-on tuners (Snark, OnBoard/Intellitouch, and Seiko) and have no issues using them on any bass.
