Here's another pic of my sweetheart. Love her tone.

2011 Hofner Contempory 500/1 with a multitude of players mods to it.
Most recently I've converted it into cavern spacing since I didn't like the way the pickup sounded in the bridge position.
The new pickguard and bracket are actually vintage from a 1961 Hofner cavern bass . I plan to fix the celluloid and have some coming in the mail. I also have new pickup rings coming in from Pick of the Ricks (very helpful guys).
I've been searching for a cavern reissue guard for over a year and it was actually easier to find a vintage one.
I'm still getting used to not resting my palm on the pickup but it sounds leagues better in this position I can actually blend in the bridge pickup now and have completely opened up my tonal possibilities.

Right now I'm using TI flats on my Hofner. I'm really curious about Pyramids though. Could anyone list the Pro's and Con's of each string for a Hofner bass.

Also, what size truss rod wrench does a 2011 CT bass take. I've tried many and none fit.

Update: It's 4mm
